Biography

Born into a sporting family, his mom was a figure skating coach, Tom started riding at a young age. In spite of his exotic machines (Cobra, TM Racing) Guyon collected several national youth titles before turning 16.

His talent didn’t go unnoticed and “Tommy” was rewarded with a spot on the ambitious VRT Racing team, now the official Yamaha EMX250 squad. Guyon repaid the confidence placed in him with two French 125cc titles and runner-up world titles in EMX125 and the 125cc junior world championship.

During a rollercoaster MX2 career the high potential Tom never quite materialized in spite of undeniable flashes of speed. He finished 8th in the EMX250 in 2020, struggled with injuries throughout 2021 but posted an impressive 2nd place in the second moto of the 2022 French GP and marked several top-10 finishes that same year.

While the 2023 for the Fantic Factory MX2 season was a write-off due to a serious knee injury, the 22-year old from Poitiers has been reunited with his former coach Valentin Teillet for 2024. More determined than ever Guyon has all the tools at hand to rebuild himself with the support of the 737 Performance GasGas Oxmoto team.
