Biography

In the slipstream of Evgeny Bobryshev and Aleksandr Tonkov, Vsevelod Brylyakov was another fast rider from Russia to make waves in GPs. Hailing from an humble background Seva had to climb an uphill battle to find opportunities outside of his home country.

Demonstrating his ability in the 65cc and 85cc European Championship provided him with a springboard for international success. After a solid EMX250 campaign in 2012 things got rocky when Brylayakov moved to the MX2 class. Injuries and a lack of competitive machinery held him back until  his second breakthrough season with Tech Honda in 2015. Brylyakov just missed the podium in Sweden and was picked up for Dixon Racing Kawasaki for the next two seasons and the Kemea Yamaha Factory MX2 team for his final MX2 stint.

The spectacular hard-charger confirmed his speed, made the podium during the 2016 Mexican GP, but suffered too many injuries to capitalize on his talent. Never able to turn things around in MXGP Seva’s international career came to an abrupt end with the FIM’s boycot of Russian athletes.

Although he’s missing competition at the highest level the likable GasGas rider turned his career towards coaching and the development of his own VB18 MX Academy team. The 2023 Russian MX1 champ enjoys to share his knowledge and promote our sport however he can.
