Biography

Making a successful fulltime comeback multiple years after leaving the world championship is one of the hardest things possible. Anyone familiar with high-level motorsports would agree, still that’s what Mikael Persson achieved.

The crafty Swede dominated the 125cc Enduro Youth world title in 2015 and was crowned ISDE Junior champ the following year. Persson experienced some highs and lows in EnduroGP before concentrating on his domestic series between 2018 and 2021. This period delivered three Swedish titles and important victories at the famous GGN and Novemberkasan.

A fantastic outright 3rd in the 2021 ISDE opened the doors to return to EnduroGP racing. “Micky” didn’t disappoint and rode his Husqvarna to two back-to-back E3 runner up world titles.

The  28-year old Swede is ready to tackle a new challenge for 2024 with Paul Edmondson’s FastEddy team. Switching things up and opting for the E2 class rather than E3 should keep things interesting for one of the most consistent performers of the EnduroGP field.
