Biography
A fluid, calm and efficient style. Maxime Desprey may be the reigning French 450 motocross champion, but he feels equally at home in supercross.
Maxime made a name for himself in France when he won the double title of MX/SX 85cc champion in 2009. He made a name for himself on the international scene by finishing 5th in the 125cc junior world championship and by climbing the podium during the last round of the EMX125 a year later.
With 3 EMX250 victories to his credit, Desprey reaches the world championship. The titles in Supercross like that of Prince of Lille (2014-2015) which follow, underline his potential, but the Frenchman, despite the work, never really finds his marks on the world MX2. Desprey's upward trajectory came to an abrupt halt in 2016. The Bud Racing rider fractured his femur during round three of the SX West Coast Championship.
Once back in shape, Maxime switches to the 450. The transition is going well. He was third in the French MX1 series in 2017 and won the title in 2019. Under the watchful eye of team manager Serge Guidetty, the 26-year-old Yamaha rider made his return to supercross in the winter of 2019.
